it is an aromotase inhibitor and is used in post memopausal women. It is replacing tamoxifen especially in her-2 + women. Very few side effects. I love it.

I don't have any side effects that I know about other than some lingering mild edema. What side effects do you have?
I switched to it when studies showed the results were better than Tamoxifen for ER+ women. I was pre-menopausal at the time. For me, it was not great. It caused very achy, arthritic-feeling joints. I took myself off. Later, with my recurrence, turns out I am now ER- , so it didn't make much difference.
Love and healing light,

I'm on Arimidex. I was premenopausal so I'm also getting lupron to shut down ovaries. So far I've had no side effects. My doctor felt it was better than Tamoxifen for my ER/PR+and HER/2+.
Take care

my sister was on it...no side effects, but it didn't work for her. She is now on Herceptin.
