I managed to find a trial in the NIH database which does not indicate the HER2 status of the patient.

This may be the one.

Thanks Joe. Throughout scouring the internet did email back and forth with one lady that was on it and Her2-. Unfortunately didnt work for her but will continue searching for more first hand feedback to help my wife make the decision. A lot of good press today on perifosine which is another option for her in terms of a trial.
