Hi all,

I haven't seen this posted anywhere else on the site and I've never posted a link before, so I hope this works. In brief, it's an article from Reuters about a neoadjuvant (that is presurgical)trial of herceptin in early breast cancer that was halted because it was so successful. It was at M.D. Anderson and basically they changed the trial so that now all the women who enroll in it are getting herceptin up front.

Best,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for this really informative, and very current, article. I'm early stage and taking herceptin in an adjuvant setting, however my med.-onc. mentioned this to me when she switched out my last session of FAC chemo to weekly herceptin-taxol-carboplatin. She said the herceptin studies have been very promising in the neoadjuvant phase.
