I think that numbness is almost always a result of node dissection, huh? Some of us may have been lucky to get away with it. I also have numbness in the back of my upperarm & armpit (18 nodes removed).

I too had 18 nodes removed but don't have numbmess in my armpit. You can tickle me there, and I will laugh. But the upper right quadrant of my breast - now that's another story - the skin is totally numb. The tissue under the skin is not, but the skin itself....no feeling at all.

That is exactly where my numbness is...the Dr told me never to use a heating pad in that area because of lack of sensation...you can suffer burns rather easily.
