I just got back from dragging my 3rd teenager's car out of the woods! She was driving a stick on a dirt road (in the dark) and overcompensated a fishtail that occured because she was trying to roll up the window while shifting....she's our third oldest and the older two each totalled a car. We buy beaters for them because of this. In fact this car was a Saab that had been owned by the parents of two teenaged girls--both front fenders were already dented!

Thanks to God she was alright. For some (dumb) reason she wasn't wearing a seatbelt. She hit a small tree and just missed a very large tree.

Kids! ARGH!

My stepson totalled his car (my parents' old Taurus) one week after getting his license. Has anybody else noticed how lame the test is for new drivers? I think they drove him through a small neighborhood and back--15 minutes total!!

Love and light,

We totalled three cars in three years with only two teenagers... one 1984 mercedes, one 1991 Peugot and one 1995 Saab. The saab incident was one and a half rolls and upside down in a ditch with not even a scratch to either driver or passenger. Thank god for solid old cars!! Such incidents help put life in perspective!!
