Hi:
I finished chemo in August of 2003. Had 4 rounds of AC and then 4 rounds of Taxol. During chemo, I had alot of bone pain which was due to the Taxol. After a couple of months after chemo was over, the bone pain stopped. It has now been 11 months since chemo stopped and I'm experiencing small shooting pains throughout my body. Not alot, but enough that I notice. Of course I'm paranoid and wondering if anyone has had these symptoms. What are symptoms of bone cancer?
Thanks for any input you may have.

Everyone is different when it comes to bone mets. I was diagnosed with them throughout my body. Yet the only real pain I had was in my lower back/pelvis region. Nothing like shooting pains at all.

Hey, we're all paranoid. That's why it's great that our doctors are only a phone call away.

Love and light,

Lisa

Hi Joannie,
I'm sure it feels a little different for everyone, but I wouldn't describe it as shooting pain. In my case it was more like a severe bruise, very tender and achey. In my hip and rib it felt more like a pulled muscle. It's not a pain that comes and goes, it is constant and seems to get progressively worse. In any event, any pain should be told to your dr so that the proper tests can be run. I hope this helps.

Are you menopausal now after chemo. Just a thought but sometimes a sudden drop in hormones which can happen to premenopausal women after chemo can cause bone pain.If the pain is persistant you must have it checked out with MRI or bone scans you know for you own health and peace of mind.

I do have bone mets and it is in my femeral head of the hip. I have had no pain as of yet which I am thankful for. I have already had 10 da. of radiation and am on Herceptin/Navelbine and Aredia. So far so good.
