The reason I've been taking herceptin for 5 years is because of microinvasice undetectable disease, which can be halted by herceptin. As Lauren mentioned with brain mets the barrier sometimes leaks from the edems pressure and can possibly also seep through in the sight of radiation
Iam presently on the triple dose/3 weeks and doing well. I will stay on it until more researh proves something else to stop a relapse. Hugs
