hi lauren,
I use "Rice Dream Enriched with Calcium," which has no lactose, and primarily use it on my oatmeal, buckwheat groats and hot cereals when I have them. Yes, I do want to chat with you about good diet options. The only three food items I avoid are strawberries, peanuts and dairy milk (I still eat cheese on occasion over salads or a grilled cheese once in a while). It's not that I think I'm allergic to them, but I feel better without them. Instead I eat raspberries, blackberries and blueberries, almonds and cashews.
My main thing is to eat more fruits and vegetables (yellow squash, cauliflower, broccoli, etc.). My onc. nurse said watermelon is good because of its liquid content. I read one posting where the platins are hard on the kidneys and nerves, so I really drink a lot of water, even though nothing -- not even water -- tastes good right now. Let's continue this in an e-mail. I'm always looking to improve my lifestyle (although I thought it was pretty good before), because I always do better!
cya,
Vicki Z
