Thank you, Michele, for stating so well how much this site means. I agree with every word. I don't post often - I only have email at work & by the time I get a chance to check usually someone has responded already with what my comment might have been too. I do read often & find lots of info & caring & encouragement. Yes, thank you, Christine & Joe for putting this together. And thank you to all of you who give me comfort & hope.

I want to add something about this website. When I was dx last aug. I thought I knew alot about breast cancer being a nurse. I was one of very few nurses in our clinic that would actually get the "breast cancer simulator breast" out to let the gals feel it when they were in for a pap smear. I thought I was doing my "duty". Well, first thing, my lump felt nothing like that. It moved around and was very "long" feeling. Even my dr told me "it feels like a cyst". Well, when i went to Omaha and saw the best "breast cancer dr" in nebraska, she told me that my cancer was "very rare". Meaning i was too young and lots of lymph nodes involved. Wow, was I devastated!! I thought, "I'm a goner". Then I found this site. I talked to other girls "my age"(39) and found out, I don't think this is very "rare" at all. ALl the gals were my age and had the same story to tell. Well, that made me feel better,(if possible) after a cancer dx. Then I started hearing about herceptin, clinical trials, and that Wow, alot of women DO make it through this. I have learned ALOT this past year about breast cancer, clinical trials, and that ONLY GOD knows when i'm going, not my dr. or anyone else. I thank GOD for this site and we all should.Christine was blessed by GOD to be able to create this site. Joe should be very proud and happy that GOD brought her to him. I think we all are here to help eachother out, but also to help our own need to feel part of a "group". It's not the group we all planned on being a part of, but by getting to know eachother here, I'm happy to say that I'm a part of this group and website. I don't feel so alone when I get home from work and can log on to see what everyone is talking about. This makes us all one family. We will mourn eachothers loses and sing eachothers triamphs, even if it is only that we got a good scan today, or that we feel good today and shared a good "moment" with a loved one. We all should be proud of eachother. There I got it all out!!!!!!!
THAT brought happy tears to my eyes. It's all true-this sight is a blessing! THANK YOU!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE joy
