Lauren

I am stage 2 her2+++ 7/14 nodes, im in the UK, here we use FEC instead of AC (FEC is Andymicin's younger cousin apparantly) they both work in pretty much the same way!
I asked my oncologist about the effectivness of this type of chemo on HER2 positive BC, he said that FEC or AC are the current gold standards for this type of BC, i follwed 4 cycles of FEC with Taxotere (which is also very effective against this kind of BC)....i am now having Herceptin every three weeks for 2 yrs to try and prevent a recurance.
Just thought i'd let you know what my onc had to say, i believe you have done the gold standard, CMF is not generally used on younger women and my onc said that the he dosn't favour CMF with such aggressive forms of the disease.
By the way you cuss all you like girly, if we can't come on here and let rip with our feelings i don't know where we can, its sure better than bottling everything up...if people can't take your cussing, stop reading, simple!!
Hope you are well, this is just an opinion by the way, it's not to be taken as gospel!!

Hi there,
Just wanted to add that my sister, too, had FEC...it was very effective for her....5 treatments was all she needed to put her into "controlled remission". She didn't, however, fair so well with Armidex...but I've heard of many who have done well.
