Hi Mary-

I am close to the same situation you are in. I am Stage IIb, with 3 positive nodes and ER/PR negative. I did 4 A/C and 4 Taxol and am currently on my year of Herceptin. I'm scared to get off the Herceptin and then sit in limbo! What kind of followups are you having after you finished the Herceptin? So glad to hear you are NED! Congrats!!

Thanks, Lori

Lori,
I see my onc every 6 months. He does routine bloodwork, and a thorough clinical exam. I was in a clinical trial so he does some extra bloodwork for that as well. No tumor markers or scans, unless symptomatic. We both agreed to this. I understand your anxiety about finishing the herceptin--when I finished a year and a half ago it was a very bad time for me emotionally. But I got real busy with life (it was nice not to visit the infusion room weekly anymore) and before I knew it my anxiety was diminishing. I feel wonderful now--healthy and full of energy. I wish the best to you!! Mary

I think you're right, it would have been easier if we'd had time to prepare. Thanks for the reply.
