I have been on Herceptin since June 30, 2004 - only three infusions to date. After the first treatment I developed vertigo which improved, after the second treatment the vertigo was mild but now after the third treatment it seems to be much worse. It is triggered by movement or walking much like positional vertigo. I am taking no other chemo at this time and am Stage 2b. Have any of you experienced vertigo while only on Herceptin?

Barbara,
Yes I did have some dizziness and was running into walls, but it didn't end up being Herceptin. My neurologist did an MRI and couldn't figure it out and they gave me Meclizine, which didn't help; I ended up going to an ENT and I have something with the intials BBPA. It has to do with little canuals and the best part is you can fix it without drugs, its called the Eppley manuever. If you put it into your search engine you will find it. Good Luck Kristen

Barbara, I was looking through a new website I found and looked up HER2 and They talked about dizzyness being a side effect of Herceptin. If you press on the link, it will take u to all the reasons and they had a vertigo section the site is.
