Well, I have been on Herceptin 1 yr and now a new lump has decided to emerge in my neck. I'll have my scans next Monday and the MRI of the brain and see if that is the only thing going on...guess its time for round 2 so I better get on my boxing gloves...dont really want this at all, but I do wish I could get through my sons wedding first...there is NEVER a good time to see something return :-(
Hugs to all
Sheila
Sheila, did you have a biopsy done on the new lump? Perhaps it is only benign....
When do you have your scans/MRI? I know the waiting game is just a killer, but try to focus on goodies to pass the time. A watched pot does not boil! :-)
Do not ever lose hope & faith, Sheila. Even a good life without those 2 ingredients is a lifeless one!!!
Keep us posted. Sending warm hugs from here to there.

Sheila,
Sorry to hear of a new lump. You sound as though the doctors are sure it is cancerous. As you said, here comes "round 2". I will pray for your continued strength and also that you can work your tests/treatments around your son's wedding! You surely deserve to enjoy that day.
Cindi.

Sorry about the lump, Sheila. You're right. There is never a good time for this to come back. Try to stay positive and know that there are plenty of us who care. Sending (((((((hugs))))))) your way.

I hate to hear this - but you have a true fighting spirit and frequent this board for additional support. Actually, your son's wedding can be a blessing in disguise - stay involved and it will take your mind off this new problem.
As you know, there are just a whole lot of chemo possibilities and they are normally very effective in handling new tumors.
The main thing is to get a biopsy and make sure if it is cancer that the original cancer has not mutated and changed in some way, in order maximize the treatment efficacy.
{{{{hugs}}}} and keep your chin up!

Shelia,
I am so sorry to hear of your new lump. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is benign. Do you mind me asking how long after you stopped herceptin you felt the lump? I had my ct scan today and will know next week if not sooner. All good positive thoughts are coming your way. Take care. k

You are always there for all of us when we need that pat on the shoulder or bear hug...I am thinking positively, the biopsy will probably be done after my scans.
Hugs

Sheila, I too am in treatment for 2nd recurrence to lymph nodes in neck and axilla(Herceptin/Navelbine), and having a good response with 7 weeks left, so put on the biggest boxing gloves you have and come out swinging!
Love, Lolly
