I am very happy that my scan came back clean!!!

However, the pain persists. Who do you all talk to out there? Your oncologist? How often do you see them? I havent't seen mine more than 5 times and that could be stretching it since dx in Oct.03. I have asked for a new one, but won't meet until Oct. What difference does it make, they don't do anything anyway. At least not at US Oncology. They have not run one test post chemo or radiation. They tell me to go see another DR. Is that how you all are treated? My bp was 141/90 just having my blood drawn today. First they tell me I need PT, and I go and see my internest and she orders the ct scan. We use lidocaine patches to try and stop the pain. NO GOOD. The scan is good, go see pain management. The PA that I had it out with called this last Tues and said she ran my symptoms by my old onc. and she said it was surgical, go see your breast surgeon??? I have had it. I have no onc to talk to, no internist to continue treatment with. I just feel like a piece of crap that has been thrown around from one to the other. Does the onc. not want to run test because they are tied in with Genentech? or some insurance companies? My cousin who had bc, any time she felt something wrong he was on it. Same with Carlye. Do I just have the wrong doctors? Does anyone else have to to through all this? I am very sad. I feel let down by those who I spend a great deal of money on and need to trust with my life. I am glad I am healthy now and wish the pain would stop so I wouldn't have to see any of them ever again. Sorry this is so long again, but I need to vent. I just don't know who to trust and who I direct my questions to.

Hey,
First of all, GREAT NEWS ON THE SCAN!!!! Your other matters I believe you do need to find an onco you trust. When you change will your insurance cover for you to go to a few diff ones to see how you like them? I think you need to continue with your persistance because your complaints are very valid. You need to have a doc you trust, no ifs ands or buts. They are out there and I know you can find one. I will ask dr. fesen on tues when I see him after my pet scan if he knows or recomends anyone in your area. It's very important for your peace of mind, because we need to keep our stress down, because we have enough to worry about with just having BC. You are on the right track just keep hanging in there. Go celebrate on your scans and I wish I was there to take you out for a margarita. I will let you know next week what Mark says and if he knows anyone!
