I'm on Medicaid and have never had a problem, yet, on any of my five focalized treatements or 12 MRI's, soon to be 13. I have had 16 brain mets treated successfully.
You ask if I am Stage 4. My first reaction is: "well, duh...ofcourse I am." Yet, during one of my research sprees, I found information that stated a person with metastatic spread was, (for example in my case), "Stage IIIb with metastatic spread" rather than Stage IV.
However, I think it has become so common to use the term Stage IV after mets that it has become part of the vernacular. That is just what I think. If wrong, I wish someone with the real facts would clear this up for me.
