I had a bone density test done and they found osteopina of the lower spine. No one is concerned except me. I keep reading these articles about clodronate and how good it is but we can not get it here. There is a site that sells it and I am wondering if I shouldn't start on some. Does anyone take it or has taken it in the past? I would love to hear about your experience or from anyone that takes an American type brand. Thanks, Kathy
PS I have not had a recurrence since my initial dx 3+ years ago but bone mets is always on my mind.

I was just diagnosed with osteopenia, I had my bone density test done thurs, results on fri, my internist is making me walk 20-30 minutes each day and taking 1500mg of calcium and 800mg of vit D. I don't know about clodronate, but if it has that in it, it might be worth while.

Hey K,
I don't remember if I told you when I did my bone density I had borderline osteopena. I am now taking fosamax. Did your doc put you on anything?
