Hi there,
I have now been on Femara for 3 months. The first 2 I had joint aches all the time. Now by the 3rd almost 4th month it is completely gone. I had switched to it from tamoxifen and it's so much better. I had so much swelling and water retention from tamoxifen. Hope this helps!

My sister-in-law is taking Ferara. Her fingers are quite swollen and painful. She's been on it for 10 months.

Hi, Yes I took famara for 21 months, I hjad joint pain for the first 3 months. That was my only side effect. Worked well for almost 2 years. I would take alieve for the pain. Kathie
I, too, have just started on Femara 40 days ago. I have pretty severe joint pain in my knees, and some in my hips. I have no problem with my fingers though. I'm very glad to hear that it may subside! Thanks for the info.
