Hi Lu Ann, the only symptom I've noticed is a pulling sensation and slight twinge sometimes, but it's in the same area that my CT scans and chest x-rays identify as fibrosis. I've had several colds that have gone to my chest and one of these colds did develop into pneumonia which showed on the x-ray as being in that area. My CT scan says:
"...Small faint interstitial densities are again identified at the anterior margin of the left lung appearing slightly less prominent than on the previous exam and consistent with evolution of radiation fibrosis..."
I don't know whether your symptoms are related to fibrosis, but I think it would show on the CT or x-ray if it was extensive enough to cause such problems. Are you on chemo for the tumor that's showing improvement? Maybe a reaction to the chemo, and has your heart been checked with an ECG or MUGA?
Love, Lolly
