6/18/12 another 25% shrinkage, down to @3x3. Thank you, God!
8/8/12 Brain MRI - clear! Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ!
8/27/12 Thank You, God - another 20% decrease in liver met! Now @ 3.2x1.9.
10/5/12 stable-ish
11/21/12 allergic reaction to carboplatin
12/10/12 stable & progression
12/31/12 liver ablation
2/6/13 ablation successful but new tiny mets in liver. May or not be cancer.
Another ablation scheduled 2/28/13. Cancelled.
2/20/13 started taxotere & herceptin. Pretty toxic. Oncologist says start tdm1 4/3/13. From her lips to God's ears. Praying for no allergic reactions/adverse side effects.
3/28/13 increase in liver mets - number & size
4/3/13 started TDM1

Dec 11-mets to liver :( stage IV
Jan 12-taxotere/carbo for 6 treatments/herceptin for 1 year
March 12-Scans show "marked improvement" with one tumor left in liver, 1.2 cm.
May 12-Last TCH treatment.
June-December 12-Stable-Herceptin only.
December 12-Five brain lesions-WBR
Jan 12-NED body, brain 2 lesions.
April 12-NED body, 2 lesions brain-stable.
May 12-Tykerb/Herceptin

Ready for this?.....Diverticulitis....Go figure. I thank God it wasn't something more serious. Thank you all for your prayers. Man, the pain! I thought I was a goner. Will be on 2 antibiotics and a bland diet until it passes, then I have to really watch what I eat - fiber, fiber, fiber!

Good news! Funny how we come to feel that some bad things (diverticulitis) are good things! Take care!

Age 54, married farm wife/school nurse/mom of 5 adult children...March 2012- found 2.5cm hard, non-painful mass on bse. It was not there, and then it was. Yikes.
Biopsy- DCIS, IDC, er-/pr-/her2+++, grade3. 1 node suspicious on us. Biopsy +.
Plan was for Neoadjuvant TCH x6, Herceptin q3w x a year.
May1- first chemo.
May 5- I could no longer feel the mass. Really. Neither could my oncologist.
July 2- 4th TCH- Oncologist cancels last 2 tx due to "complete response"
August6- lumpectomy with axillary node dissection. No disease present in breast. 1 out of 14 nodes + (4mm)
MUGA #2- 72%
Finished 30 rads Oct '12. Mild lymphedema noticed when I had 2 rads left.
Continue Herceptin q3w until next May
April '13- first mammo since surgery- calcium deposits that are " not concerning." Well, they are concerning to ME! Turned loose from surgeon for 6 months! One more Vit H, will make plans then for port removal.

Ah yes. I also have had to deal with this, and you're right, it is no picnic. In fact now that I think back, that was the time I was thinking, am I dying? And wondering if that would be o bad after all...

Yikes!
I've heard that hurts! Ironically...I now find myself avoiding fiber at all costs...so as not to trigger Tykerb diarrhea. We're quite a pair, you and I!
