To the Newly Dx.

Hi All,
I have not been on site as often of late. I just wanted to reach out to the new members and say welcome. Being dx with Her2 is a frightful experience. It is disturbing emotionally, physically and mentally. I can only say that this site offers support, strength and knowledge.

We still have a long way to go to find the answers to this disease. The reason for this post is just to state, that do not give up. A big part of the journey is education and the mental capacity to fight. When I say fight I mean keep asking questions. If your onc does not satisfy you, do not accept that. Get second opinions, or even 3rd ones. Be proactive, it is not an easy journey when you are upset and worried about your life. You must stay strong and draw from the wonderful positive and informative members here.
Take it day by day and never ever give up.
My heartfelt gratitude to my sister of Her2.
Jean
