Educate me on markers :-)

Just curious- What things can affect markers, to make them go up and down (other than cancer!) ? Ex.- diet, illness, etc. Is it a blood level that normally fluctuates even in people without cancer? What are the difference in the markers? I do know that the her2 serum is supposed to be more reliable, but which ones measure what?

Love, Kelly

Wink Hi Kelly

I posted a month or two ago around this same question. Instead of being too repetitive I am going to refer to http://www.labtestsonline.org/unders...rs/glance.html

Lab Tests Online does a very good job of explaining lab tests, results, etc.

Hope this helps

Thanks Mel

Mel,

Thank you for the links- they were very informative and really helped alot. I didn't realize that a thread had been started on this recently. I must have been "out to lunch". :-)
