Herceptin/Tamoxifin side effects

I know that I have posted a topic like this, but I was wondering how many of you are having issues similar to mine.
I keep having "flu-like" symptoms. Body aches, chills, nausea. Don't know wether to attribute them to the Herceptin the Tamox or my worst fear- Mets/recurrance. No fevers or other signs of infection. Just keep on feeling like crap.
Cancer...the gift that keeps on giving!

Hi Cheryl,

I was on both Tamoxifen and Herceptin (I'm now on Femara only) and had two out of three of your symptoms. My body aches were mostly in my back, hips and knees - sometimes I had trouble sleeping because I couldn't get comfortable. I finally bought a new mattress set and that helped somewhat. I also started taking a supplement for joint relief and it may have helped a little bit too. I still have some aches and pains, but nothing I can't handle. The chills I had while on Herceptin were constant. I was always cold and could never warm up. Thank goodness those are gone since finishing with Herceptin. I never had nausea but I believe it may be one of the side effects of Tamoxifen and possibly Herceptin too.

I know it is hard not to worry about every symptom that pops up but some of them will disappear when you are done with treatment. Hang in there. Try to take comfort in the fact that you are doing all that you can to beat this - for good!

All my best,
