Among many, many other things, my journey through Her2 Positive Cancerland has made me want to greater appreciate every day as a gift from God, not put off things. and to really care about people.

It's a made- up story with a good message and was a great reminder to me what a gift of encouragement that sincere words of affirmation are. Sometimes we wait for others to be dying or dead before we say even a kind word to or about that person or let them know what they mean to us. Sometimes silence is not golden. Thoughtless words quickly tear down and affirming ones build up. Or, we might send flowers to a funeral when a bouquet to the person when they were alive would have been so much more meaningful. I think I'm going to call my Mom today and tell her how much I love her and name some things that I appreciate about her.
