Shelley (that is my sister's name) -
You have done well to find this site just at the time you need it most. It was not up and available when my mets appeared, so I had to find other means of support. But, I am here often these past 6 months and have shared my story as have some other survivors in the Stories section.
There are lots of great treatment options now and you are getting some drugs with proven results. (I had to join a trial with a poor outlook, but managed to tough it through.)
It is coming up on 2 years that I am off chemo and NED. My treatment team are almost overjoyed every time they see me as I beat some very bad odds.
Just keep in mind that the cancer was not there a few years ago and does not belong in your body. It is there only on a "temporary visa" and will have to leave. Be sure and tell it that every night when you go to sleep.
NED shall be your friend, too!
