App-based research on cancer patients/survivors and coronavirus

Hi everyone,

As you know, there is some concern about how cancer patients and survivors do when they get COVID-19. There are some scary figures out of China, but the Fred Hutchison Cancer Center has noted that there might be some problems with the Chinese data (such as lumping in different types of cancer patients, since some treatments, like bone marrow transplants, can leave patients with well-known immune system problems).

To find the answer, they are looking for cancer patients and survivors among others to participate in their research. They are also looking for members of the general public. The app has only been running about a week and already they have found that about 60% of people infected with coronavirus lose their sense of taste or smell as one of the first symptoms.
