Question about compression sleeve

I'm doing alot of excercising and some weight lifting and my arm sleeve is a joke! It just slides right down. Does anyone have an idea about a sleeve that will actually stay up while excercising??

I'm not sure how they work, but some sleeves come with a shoulder strap to help keep them from sliding down. I googled and found a couple from Juzo that have them.

I believe quite a few are designed like garterless stockings with a wide band of silicon to keep them up via friction

If I ever need another sleeve, I will probably get one of the lymphediva sleeves. There are several testimonials about women exercising and finding them comfortable. And they are sure a lot cuter than my current one.

I bet you could ask if they stay put during workouts. They have a "diamond" band inside which is non-slip like silicone, but supposedly more comfortable.

Mine is ordered out of the hospital after the lymphedema specialist took the measurement and sent off the order. It fits perfectly so far because I have not had any weight change.

The specialist was using Ace bandage plus cotton strips when I was having the swollen arm due to cellullitis caused by bug bites. After about 1-2 months, when the size of my arm went back to normal, she took measurement and I started to wear the sleeve and glove after we received them. My first glove didn't really fit because the fingers were too loose, so they gave me a replacement. The company is called Mediquip, I think. And they sells the German brand, mediven.

Michelle, do you have lymphedema? If not, there's no evidence that using a sleeve will help you to prevent it.

More and more evidence is coming in that exercising, however, can help you to prevent it. Just make sure you don't push too hard or fast. Increase the weight and reps more gradually than you normally would and be vigilant for signs that you've annoyed your arm (tingling, heaviness, swelling). If you've had radiation, you can expect that that side will feel differently, regardless. It's just a matter of learning how your body normally behaves and watching for things outside of YOUR normal range.

I thought that any time nodes have been removed, whether it be one or more, we should be wearing a compression sleeve when we fly. I have had to replace my sleeve almost yearly due to weight fluctuations. I don't have a custom one. I was given several locations of where to get sleeves through my surgeons office. Most are surgical/hospital supply stores. Another was Walgreen's but only the ones who have in store clinics. I would love to get a custom compression sleeve made but I don't know where to go for that.
