Foundation Financial support

Just like I share my perils and fears with you guys, thought I would share good news too. I just got awarded $6000 from a foundation for my chemo treatments. It feels great to have some financial support out there.

Was there a Herceptin website for financial support too?

Re: Foundation Financial support

There is such an organization here in the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs area) called the Desert Cancer Foundation. They recently promoted a breast cancer walk/fund raiser. I set up a pledge page and raised over $900. The best part, the pledges were MATCHED by the local healthcare district. It is worthwhile to explore if such a program exisits in your area if you are in need of some assistance.

Re: Foundation Financial support

Jackie I went with the CancerCare copay assistance. My billing officer gave me the info. I am trying to get Nuelasta to pay for my copay for the injections. I feel guilty since i am not indigent, but I do have a family of 5 to support on my lonely check;
