Just catching up on postings and saw your msg from late Nov. I also have bone mets and 3 hormonal drugs tried Jan 03-June 03 were not effective (counts went sky high!). Have been on Zometa since Jan, went on herceptin/navelbine in July and my counts have dropped remarkably. Not sure why your onc wd not want to start chemo now as the combo seems to work better than either drug alone. My onc lobbied hard for the combo (maybe because my counts were so high) and I finally agreed. Good luck to you!
