I add some truth to my posts on a rare occasions just to keep all of you on your toes. So take that and neener, neener, neener.

Pink Girl:

There isn't a whole lot of socialist flour in the United States. The only good source of socialist flour is me and I am not going to sell it to lunkheads who mix beer and wine.

Re: Totally random thoughts and comments

Okay, but your missing the whole point. What kind of sick, twisted and demented pervert mixes beer and wine? And if they mix it, is it society's responsibility to rescue these lost souls from themselves?

Look, I'm not saying stupidity should be a capital offense, just remove all of those safety labels and let Darwinian principles sort it all out in a natural selection sort of way.

I once had a jar of peanuts which had a half inch by three-quarter inch safety label that said, "Warning! This product may contain peanuts, a known allergen". May contain peanuts? It's a big old jar of peanuts. I certainly hope it does contain peanuts. And what is the whole point of the safety label? Is it for people who are deathly allergic to peanuts who look at the jar with the label "PEANUTS" in inch and a half lettering, see the peanuts inside the jar and wonder, "Are those REAL peanuts are do they just look like peanuts? Perhaps I should try a handful just to make sure they aren't fake peanuts."

I'm just saying.....

Re: Totally random thoughts and comments

Lee,

Are you sure the label says 'peanuts' instead of 'nuts' because you are so allergic to that term? (Sorry, just a 'totally random thought' that came to my very injured brain. I got the 'nuts' idea from the link below:

Re: Totally random thoughts and comments

A friend shot her microwave today. Now, at this point, I am not sure why she shot the microwave ( hopefully by accident, but even then, hmmm). I have felt that way about my computer from time to time. Anyway we have been changing songs to fit the situation. Mine was along the lines of "Nancy shot the microwave tonight, said it made a bad meal, made her cry." My friend Betty came up with "I shot the microwave but I did not shoot the coffemaker." Ring any bells?

Re: Totally random thoughts and comments

I would think that she had been 'unconsciously' affected by the headline news this past week. Some psychologists (such as Lee will probably 'associate' her action with the words like 'shot', 'wave', 'drug' (from 'coffee') and 'newsmaker' (from 'maker')... etc.

Re: Totally random thoughts and comments

I posted this once already and it went away. Pink, that is too cute. It seems her finger slipped. She killed a stack of books as well. I can't say much. I was trying to see why I couldn't get the safety off on a pistol and shot our gunsafe. I remember standing there taking inventory. Did I hurt anywhere, was there blood? Had I shot my husband's clothes?

Re: Totally random thoughts and comments

My ex-husband brought home a baby squirrel for me to raise (several times, actually), it bit my thumb to the bone. Shortly thereafter it died, foaming at the mouth. After the tests it turned out that it had distemper. No shots for me. I was so glad. We raised other squirrels for release. My ex was a tree surgeon. We had raccoons as well. The last one I got at a party the spring before my cancer diagnosis. Someone was feeding him poorly (wrong formula) and he latched on to me and I had him for several months until he was old enough to release. He was something. I called him my technocoon because he wanted everything electronic. He shucked the keys off of my laptop like it was an ear of corn. For months after we released him I had dreams of him visiting. I guess I am a little weird, huh?

Re: Totally random thoughts and comments

Well, Mary, I live in the Northeast, for now, and my answer is, "Too much". We've got snow on top of snow and waiting for more tonight. Or maybe sleet, they can't make up their minds yet. The snow doesn't seem to melt here. It snows, we push it around, then it snows some more and we push it around, and sometimes back and forth, but it's always there. It's the darndest thing.
(No, you're not weird at all, Leslie. I would hate to tell you about some of the dreams Lee has. Now, they're weird)

Re: Totally random thoughts and comments

The snow we had recently was enough for me. Snow on Christmas day (a couple of inches), Thunder snow. 8 inches of snow, snow in the walmart parking lot in piles for almost three weeks. This is the sunny south. We haven't had weather like this for years. All I have to say is to stay safe and don't send it down here to us. I am not sure that I have ever seen a snow plow and shoveling the 8 inches of snow off our walkway was enough for me. My snow jones is gone. I have pictures of the grandkids sledding. Soon we'll get back to normal with tornadoes and then 110 degree heat.

That's fascinating Lee etc. It explains why we don't have many riots in Canada ... we have our very own bacon ... named after us ... or maybe it's cuz we're just a bunch of happy people stirring socialist flour into our beer ... i'm just saying ...
