In the past I have also seen reported two other reasons for cancer patients to exercize:

In a study of healthy individuals exercizing was shown to increase the endogenous production of the antiangiogenic Andostatin (which has been tried as cancer treatment in the US & is now approved in a modified version in China under the name Endostar).

A comment by an MD alleges that exerczing increases endogenous peroxide which would be toxic to cancer cells.

Can anyone explain more precisely what the term "insulin-like" means? In what way is a substance "insulin-like"? Is it the chemical composition? The chemical shape? The end result of its action?

I think exercise probably has some positive effect by virtue of better circulation with maybe better flushing of toxic substances out.

Thanks for the interesting post, RhondaH.
