Surgery May 9, 07

I will be admitted next Wednesday for surgery ro remove fluid from around my left lung. The doctor will be putting a camera inside to see if the lung expands. If it does he will put talc in to act as a glue between the lung and the pleural sack. If not, the tubes will be left in for me to take care of at home with the help of visiting nurses.

My lung is about 80% collapsed. Other then sleeping all the time, I really don't have any other symptoms. I worked in my flower bed today all afternoon, so I guess I don't feel so bad.

I had outpatient surgery Dec. 06, where 1 litre of fluid was removed. I was surprised the fluid came back so fast.

Is there anyone who has had this done, or do you know someone who has?

Thanks for comments.
