HI Betty~
UGH! SO sorry you're going through this...again & again & again...I don't even know how to count the number of times my disease has recurred, or if I should just consider it one long bumpy road since may 2002.
Hang in there! Know that you can beat this disease back, again & again & again...as many times as you have to until there's a cure!
Where are you getting your treatment/docs?
I live in Atlanta & get treatment @Winship Cancer Institute @Emory. They're wonderful. The docs are great & make the process of multiple consults w/multiple different doctors so much easier.
Keep us posted & until then, keep the faith!

Thanks for the encouragement... I also live in GA. I have been to Emory several times. Last visit was to see a surgical oncoligist to see if the largest tumors can be removed and was told surgery is not an option. Tumors are between my nerve bed and main artery. I see Docs @ GA Cancer Specialists, Breast Care Specialists @ Northside & Winship Cancer Institute @Emory. They are ALL excellent Docs and feel that I am in good hands.

I have been very fortunate that the cancer has not spread to other organs thus far. However, I am getting worried that it may since it keeps returning and growing at such a high rate.

God Bless You and again, thanks for your support!

I am so sorry this cancer won't just give you a break...where are the recurrewnces located? It seems some are more stubborn, especially in the lymph nodes...I am forever recurring.....hoping that the Abraxane and Tykerb kicks butt and works some magic! You are in my thoughts as you begin yet another fight. Be strong, you will win!

Betty,

Sorry to hear that you are dealing with so many local recurrences of your cancer. I can't offer any suggestions regarding treatment but do offer my support. I too go to GA Cancer Specialists but in Marrietta.

I am praying for you, Betty, and for all you recurrences to stay LOCAL. Maybe they just don't like to travel, they like the neighborhood, let's keep 'em close by and zap em good!

Thanks to ALL for the great support you have shown. The pet was good! All the cancer is still local except, it is in the nodes between my breast and nodes around my collar bone area. No big deal!!!

Chemo went well. (Slept through it) Go back next Monday to see my Dr and more chemo.

I am also sorry to hear it is back. I have just started the same treatment except that my disease is running around my body. I am glad yours is staying local, but I am hoping that this mix kicks butt for both of us. I am hoping to see a future posting from you saying you are NED.
