I recently had a lumpectomy (9/12/08) Stage one invasive -lymph nods - negative. But found out my cancer is Her2Nu positive. I am scared! My doctor has recommended radiation and then Herceptin. I do not know much about it. I am knew to this support group and would like to here from others.

Kindertender....welcome to the group...please repost on maybe the newcomers site. I am in a hurry today....just start your own thread, so that we can all see that you are new. You may not get much response on this thread where I found you.

Found my own lump in the shower
April 2006 at the age of 58
Stage IIB, ER- PR- HER2+++ multi focal tumors, largest 2.3cm
Chemo first: AC/Taxol over 16 weeks
Bilateral mastectomy Sep 06
33 rads after the surgery
1 year of Herceptin completed Dec 07
15 years and no recurrence as of April 2021

I read this with deep sadness...another soldier gone. But thank you for sharing this with us as I learned a lot I didn't know about her.
