That is so true. It is a very complicated disease, but one of the worst things I've seen and heard of is "blaming" the cancer patient...for a number of things...bad diet, depression, sadness, ect. As if cold showers and abuse could cure. Has it been forgotten that we live in a filthy world that we sometimes have no control over? How many of us were exposed to DDT, drank municipal water? When I was young they sprayed the trees arielly for Dutch Elm disease. Remember that? What were they spraying? We certainly didn't care. I just get so mad to hear dogmatic statements and philospohies about cancer. All I can say is thank God it is not you. I have also seen people succomb to cancer on these strict regimines, suffering with an insufferable diet, and unspeakable physical insults. It is like saying, "toughen up". Yes, we do need to to survive, but physical mortification is not the answer.
