spots on the palms and soles

I have devolped some spots on the soles of my feet, mainly under a couple of toes and on my hands, the palm of one and the palmar surface of a few fingers. My onc has never seen this and said "We will keep an eye on them" Just noticed a new on on my toes though the other ones have been present since completing the AC. Now on Taxol weekly & HP every 3 weeks.

Has anyone else had this or thoughts on it. They look like a freckle mostly but it is a strange surface to get a new freckle without much sun exposure.
Thanks
Lisa

Re: spots on the palms and soles

Lisa I didn't have this but it doesn't sound too serious, maybe ask your Onc to refer you to a dermatologist if you're worried.

Re: spots on the palms and soles

I got new "freckles" in strange places during FEC -- the nurse said it was probably the 5FU (the F in FEC), but now I wonder. One thing - I never wore sunscreen during chemo because I never spent any real time in the sun. But maybe it was a reaction between one of the drugs and the brief exposures to sunlight? BTW, I still have all those freckles.
