Hi all,

Just wanted to see if you had similar experiences regarding cumadin. My mom was put on it back in 99' when they found a blod clot in her chest. That is gone and she has been on cumadin ever since. When her PT levels were off, her nose would run, or just from being on it made her nose run (not blood, just a runny nose no congestion). Well she recently went off of it for surgery 4 weeks ago and has not been back on it since, but her nose is constantly running now. Anyone know why. It's not allergies either. If we ask her oncologist, she just kind of shrugs her shoulders and says to go to an ENT doctor, but then once you go to them and say the word CANCER, they always just blame that without ever giving you a real answer. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks everyone!
Kristin

Several of us have Rhinitis (runny nose) from Herceptin. Is she on Herceptin? I know how absolutely frustrating it is to constantly be sniffling and have everyone ask if you have a cold. Claritin or Benedryl is really about all you can do. I went to see a Ear, Nose, Throat specialist who gave me a list of Rx to try. If one didn't work, I was to go on to the next. After trying 2 at premium co-pay prices, I skipped to the bottom of the list. I now take OTC Benadryl.

Love and light,

Lisa
