Another good reason to put your phone numbers in your user CP.

Question

Donna has not logged in under her name since 12/30/08. She was changing treatment at that time and looking at trials.
Donna, good thoughts and cyberhugs are going your way, but maybe you are not well enough to post.
Anyone been in touch with her??

The phone number thing does have a purpose. The members here care about one another and this is a back up for getting in touch. This is completely at Members' choosing and instructions can be given to Joe as to circumstances under which to use that phone number.

Sad News

StephN found Donna's Obituary:

DAILY TIMES OBITUARIES FOR JAN. 23

Donna M. Chiaro O’Hara, 51,

Devoted volunteer; enjoyed her family

Donna M. Chiaro O’Hara, 51, of Chadds Ford, a special projects manager for LHK Partners in Newtown Square, died Jan. 20 at home after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. O’Hara grew up in Lyndhurst, N.J., and graduated from Rutgers University-Newark with a degree in medical technology. She later obtained a master’s degree in business administration from Temple University.

In addition to her work at LHK Partners, Mrs. O’Hara volunteered with local political organizations, the Chester County SPCA and the Delaware County Breast Cancer Coalition.

With the DBCC, she mentored other women with advanced breast cancer and was a member of the research committee, striving to increase participation in clinical trials locally and nationally.

Mrs. O’Hara enjoyed traveling with her family and incorporating their favorite activities, such as skiing, hiking and horseback riding, along the way.

She was grateful to those who touched her life in a positive way, including family, friends and her team of doctors and medical staff.

Survivors: Husband of 26 years, Kevin W. O’Hara; sons, Bryan O’Hara and Sean O’Hara; parents, Nick and Grace Chiaro; brother, Anthony Chiaro.

Service: Family and friends will gather from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the farmhouse at Loch Nairn Golf Course, 514 McCue Road, Avondale.

Contributions: Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, 111 W. 11th St., Suite 3, Wilmington, DE 19801 or www.debreastcancer.org

Arrangements: O’Leary Funeral Home, Springfield.

We wish to send condolences to her family.

Regards
Joe

I agree with Joe and the importance of sharing our phone number with him. It seems to be important to us when things like missing a member makes us sad. Most of the time it is something simple but there are times that we should maybe be cheering that someone through a tough time.

I also wanted to add that I got several phone calls while I was away to update me with things on the site. This was important to me since being without a computer made me feel out of touch. I am so glad that I have shared my phone numbers with some family here. I was keeping contact with you all via cell phone but it was a member here that informed me Chelee was back but busy.

I am thinking and sending loving and healing energy your way Donna. I too wish that you are just keeping busy. Come back when you can. Missing you.>>Believe51
