taken off tykerb

Well I have been on Tykerb/xeloda for about 6 weeks and had to take a break due to side effects. I am not sure if there is going to be a change of drugs or alter the dose of the t/x. I will find out on Tuesday what the new plan is. Just thought I would share. Take care. Sally

Sally, depending on the severity of your symptoms, you might discuss lowering your tykerb to 3 pills a day, and Xeloda to 2 twice a day.

Hope you feel better soon!

Sally,
Many people have to have the Xeloda reduced, and some have had the Tykerb reduced, so it is definitely a viable option to discuss w/ your doctor.

Hello Sally,
I had to take a break after my first round of Xeloda Tykerb.
I have had both doses lowered. I take my Xeloda 1 week on 1 week off now; this has helped with keeping my energy up. I Wish you the best.
