I am so happy to hear an upturn in this post. Your original was so very sad and hopeless sounding. This is a HORRID disease and it seems to strike some of the best people in the world. Just read the stories of the ladies on this board and you will find more strength and courage than about anywhere you can imagine. I am simply amazed with the lives of so many of these ladies. There is a willingness to share the most horrific times of their lives to help and encourage someone else in a similar condition. But best of all there is a twisted humor in some of the stories that can only come from a person who has swung into Hell , spit in the devil’s eye and walked away slowly… singing “Amazing Grace.�

You will see, you will come away from cancer with a strength and a compassion for others that you did not think was possible for you. You are special, you are much stronger than you first thought. You will begin to treasure each moment, your child has become more precious and in general the clouds should be beginning to break apart by now. There is a new day dawning and you will be here to watch it. You are a child of God.

Do not pay too much attention to the statistics, that data is outdated for the most part. The ladies on this board are busy re-writing all the new statistics and as such, they do not have much time to look back at the old ones. There are a lot of new drugs in trials that will eventually beat this disease too. BC HER2 is a two-headed monster, no doubt, but the monster is losing to brave gladiators like you. One head is dead and the other is badly bruised…and losing strength daily. I can only stand on the sidelines cheering for all you ladies (and some men) “GO – FIGHT – WIN�
