Skin lesions

Hi everyone,
I don't often post here and particularly not in recent times as I have been well. But I still read the posts. I was diagnosed in 2003 had a mastectomy and chemotherapy. I have been well since then. In September this year I started to have some little sores on my legs that wouldn't heal. They range in size fom just little dots to about 1cm in size. I have about 10 on one leg and four on the other. Nothing I do will help them to heal. I have tried antiseptic cream, and a topical steroid cream. I have also started to get very large bruises on my legs about three at the moment. Each bruise I can explain such as walking into the lounge (being a clutz). but I think the bruises are larger than what they should be. Has anyone seen skin mets present as I have described. Thank you for your help. Maree

Here are some typical photos of skin mets.

Unexplained bruising and/or suspected breast cancer should be reported to a doctor.
I hope the photos help.

Re: Skin lesions

Hi Maree
I don't know anything about skin mets but the way it is for all
of us now is to get everything checked out. It's hard on the
nerves but it's got to be done.

Re: Skin lesions

Hi Maree. I agree. You need to call your Dr. and have it checked. Better safe than sorry. I had skin mets on my mastectomy site every time I went off Herceptin. They never went anywhere else on my body. I have not had any for 3 years. Check with your onc. Best wishes. Mary L
