Treatment plan

I just wanted to share the treatment plan my new onc. has suggested.
Back to Herceptin with Taxol instead of Taxotere.
On to Tykerb and Xeloda for maintainence once we get rid of these nodes in my chest area and clear up "crystals" in my lungs.
Getting PET scan on Wed. and start "H" on Thurs.
Getting brain MRI the following Mon.
After reading many posts this seems like a logical plan. I also read of the horrors caused by CVS Caremark and sorry to say, that is also our prescription company thru my husbands work.
If anyone has any other suggestions or comments I would really appreciate hearing them.
Hope everyone is staying warm!
Emelie

Wink Re: Treatment plan

Herceptin and Taxol is a very popular combination.
Good luck to you as you start down a new path in your treatment plan.

Re: Treatment plan

"Ready; Set; Go!"

Now that you've got a plan carved out, the focus now will be getting yourself ready physically and mentally.

Drink plenty of fluid - and do not eat too much before chemo. Report any discomfort to the nurse/technician. Many things can be adjusted - the size of the needle, the injection speed, the type of premeds,...

Bring a book or magazine/newspaper. Dress comfortably...
