Living Proof - the movie on Lifetime Movie Network again

Hi Everyone,

I just saw that the Lifetime Movie Network is airing the movie about the making of Herceptin "Living Proof" with Harry Connick, Jr. again on October 8th at 8p.m. eastern time. If you get this channel, it is a MUST watch. (Be sure and have your kleenix ready.)

http://www.lmn.tv (search for Living Proof)

Tell all of your friends to watch as well, it will help them to understand so much more about our Vitamin H!

Thank you! I missed it last year when it aired. I have been wanting to see his story now that I know how important he is to us "sisters."

This is a must see for any woman taking Herceptin. Dr. Slamon is my primary oncologist and the movie does a good job of depicting the kind of physician he is.

Re: Living Proof - the movie on Lifetime Movie Network again

Tricia,

Do you have access to a North American or multi-region DVD player and NTSC compatible TV? If so, you could purchase the DVD from Amazon UK . . .

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Living-Proof...1945838&sr=1-1

Hope this helps.

I see that it's available for purchase on I-Tunes if you have a U.S. account. Good thing I got some $tunes to register as YENtunes would restrict me from anything other than stuff available in Japan.

Re: Living Proof - the movie on Lifetime Movie Network again

Well, DANG! Living Proof did not air in my market last night. Just the same old boring stuff that makes me normally pass by that channel.

The Lifetime web site does not list another air date/time.

Anybody on the west coast have further info?

Re: Living Proof - the movie on Lifetime Movie Network again

Steph,

I'm sorry you missed it. You might have confused the Lifetime Channel with the Lifetime Movie Network (LMN). I think the LMN only airs movies, and the Lifetime channel airs repeats of sitcoms, talk shows, etc. In my area we get both, perhaps your cable company does not carry the LMN. If it does, it might air again later in the month. I would try searching their site at www.lmn.tv to see if you can find it airing again on another date.

Re: Living Proof - the movie on Lifetime Movie Network again

Thanks for setting me straight, Alice! Just shows you how much TV I DON'T watch. Not even familiar with all my hundreds of channels. further investigation showed me LMN is at channel 504 here, whereas Lifetime is number 51.

I am quite certain I watched Living Proof on 51 last year, as did some other people I told about it. Stuck in a rut, I guess!

Wink Re: Living Proof - the movie on Lifetime Movie Network again

There are other options for Steph and other members who missed Living Proof.
If you do an internet search for download Living Proof with Harry Connick Jr. or watch Living Proof with Harry Connick Jr. online you will probably find several links. I found this one from Amazon's Video on demand which gives people several choices--------watch online, download or order the actual DVD. Of course there are fees involved, but it gives viewers choices, which is a good idea.

Maybe Lifetime will show Living Proof again in October for breast cancer awareness month. In the meantime here is a link to information about it on Lifetime and a link to a You Tube video about Dr. Slamon and the making of Living Proof. The You Tube video shows Dr. Slamon discussing her2 breast cancer.
