Lost post
Hi guys! I'm so frustrated right now I could cry. Once again, I've spent alot of time writing here, only to lose the post. Any ideas? It's been hours that I've been typing. Can I retrieve it? Can I write elsewhere and then "transfer" it onto the site? I'm really bummed.

This used to happen to me also, we tend to get logged out when we type a long mail, so nowadays after typing and before submitting the post ,i copy it and then if it gets lost, i log in once more and just paste it and send it. then its successful.

S**t, I hate it when that happens. I guess it would help to type the text in a word processor like Word and then copy & paste it when you are ready to send. Word usually saves a copy every 10 minutes or so.

Drat Bill, I'm sorry we missed out on your post! Typing it in word is a good idea, at least you will have a backup. This has happened to me, but when it says I am timed out and I sign back on my post appears. Another thing you might try is to hit "Preview Post" every so often and then just keep "editing".
Can't wait to read what you had to say, hope it isn't lost forever!

ER+ (30%) /PR+ (50%), HER2+++
AC X 4 dose dense, Taxol X 4 dose dense
Herceptin started with 2nd Taxol, given weekly until chemo done
then given every 3 weeks for one year ending on March 16, 2007
Radiation 30 treatments
Tamoxifen - 2 yrs (pre-menopausal)
May 2008 - Feb 2012 Femara
Aug 2008 - Feb 2012 Zometa every 6 months
March 2012 - Stop Femara, now Evista for bone strengthening

Bill,
I have been there many times. I am not the fastest typist in the west nor am I the best speller. So once my post is done I try to remember to copy it. If I loose it I just paste, like Christie mentioned. The trouble is I have to remember to copy it! Chemo brain is still alive.

Me too. I hate being logged out. I have taken to typing longer posts in a text program first and then doing cut and paste.

May'07~ Started Tykerb/Xeloda, no WBR for now
June'07~ MRI - stable brain mets, no new mets, 9mm spots less enhanced, CA15.3 down 45.5 to 9.3 in 10 wks, Ty/Xel working magic!
Aug'07~ MRI - brain mets shrunk half, NO NEW BRAIN METS!!, TMs stable @ 9.2
Oct'07~ PET/CT & MRI show NED
Apr'08~ scans still show NED in the head, small bone spot on right iliac crest (rear pelvic bone)
Sept'08~ MRI shows activity in brain mets, completed 5 fractions/5 consecutive days of IMRT to zap the pesky buggers
Oct'08~ dropped Xeloda, switched to tri-weekly Herceptin in combo with Tykerb, extend to tri-monthly Zometa infusion
Dec'08~ Brain MRI- 4 spots reduced to punctate size, large spot shrunk by 3mm, CT of torso clear/pelvis spot stable
June'09~ new 3-4mm left cerrebellar spot zapped with IMRT targeted rads
Sept'09~ new 6mm & 1 cm spots in pituitary/optic chiasm area. Rx= 25 days of 3D conformal fractionated targeted IMRT to the tumors.
Oct'09~ 25 days of low dose 3D conformal fractionated targeted IMRT to the bone mets spot on rt. iliac crest that have been watching for 2 years. Added daily Aromasin back into treatment regimen.
Apr'10~ Brain MRI clear! But, see new small spot on adrenal gland. Change from Aromasin back to Tamoxifen.
June'10~ Tumor markers (CA15.3) dropped from 37 to 23 after one month on Tamoxifen. Continue to monitor adrenal gland spot. Remain on Tykerb/Herceptin/Tamoxifen.
Nov'10~ Radiate positive mediastinal node that was pressing on recurrent laryngeal nerve, causing paralyzed larynx and a funny voice.
Jan'11~ MRI shows possible activity or perhaps just scar tissue/necrotic increase on 3 previously treated brain spots and a pituitary spot. 5 days of IMRT on 4 spots.
Feb'11~ Enrolled in T-DM1 EAP in Denver, first treatment March 25, 2011.
Mar'11~ Finally started T-DM1 EAP in Denver at Rocky Mountain Cancer Center/Rose on Mar. 25... hallelujah.

Bill, I read this the other day...and I did not learn from it. I tried to post a blog on my myspace page and it was of course a long, well written blog I'd been trying to get done for a long time, I posted it, and it disappeared. Why didn't I copy it?!

Diagnosed 8/7/08 with stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma, micropapillary pattern, Her2 3+, ER+,PR-, grade II, positive lymph nodes.
Received 6doses of Taxotere, Carboplatin with Herceptin continuing for a year...DONE.
1/28/09 Left Modified Radical Mastectomy, Right Simple Mastectomy.
Surgery pathology: No invasive carcinoma present and 17 lymph nodes removed all negative! Only small amount of carcinoma in situ in left breast.
March/April '09, Radiation to left chest wall.
Currently involved in Neratinib clinical trial.

Yep, and the really bad part is that the posts we lose are the finest pieces of work ever conceived. It's not just us that has lost something, but the whole of Mankind. Just think how we could advance as human beings with those missing posts. That's the really sad part.

Sometimes when I take significant time to write a post, to ensure that I don't get timed out and lose it, I will go up to "edit" and hit copy. Then if necessary, I just hit paste and there it is. I have lost my share of posts and it is frustrating.
