Re: Crazy pubmed abstract du jour

Okay, that is pretty strange. I recently read of a study conducted at the University of Oregon Psychology Department that found that people in Eugene (the site of the University of Oregon) who ate tofu tended to have short term memory loss. Frankly I am astounded. Perhaps there is another substance that people in a university town who eat tofu that may, just possibly explain that memory loss. Am I over reaching here?

Yes..there might be "confounding" variables in that study. On the other hand, short term memory loss may be a helpful adaptation when faced with Tofurkey for Thanksgiving etc.
