Talking Hello My Friends...

Yes Flori Flori Morning Glory (secret Wendy person) -- J. M. Barrie's tale of Peter Pan included the much beloved character, Wendy. It seems he invented the name in the early 1900s, when ancient Welsh names were becoming popular again, as an expression of intellectual nationalism. Perhaps a derivation of Gwendolyn.
How brilliant of your Mom, Flori, for indulging your whimsy.

The beans thing is well known, true (via movies like ?Blazing Saddles). However, specifically, my source states that the reason astronauts are not allowed to eat beans before they go into space is because --PASSING WIND IN A SPACE SUIT DAMAGES IT! Talk about noxious fumes... Whew...

Thanks Flori/Wendy and Pinkie for playing along. Pink One -- is that you fishing at an ice floe -- up there in Iceland...? Down the road from your teepee...?

Now Spike is correct as well. Paper $$$ is made of cotton. AND -- did you know -- the Declaration of Independence was written on hemp (marijuana) paper. Our founding Fathers were high on Life and really connected to their yearning to be Free Spirits. It's all becoming very clear... To me, anyway.

I will leave you with this thought: A tiny amount of liquor on a scorpion will make it go instantly mad and sting itself to death. Handy to know...

Sleep well, my Sisters and Bros.

A few guesses:

They are both from California.

They both have hair that you couldn't dent with a ball peen hammer.

They are the only two NASCAR drivers not named Dale, Kyle, Ernie, Mike, or Gordon. (Only five first names are sanctioned by NASCAR, all other drivers must get a special waiver to compete.)

Neither one knows how to turn right.

All of the above.

Okay, time for another quiz. This installment is called "Name that Rock Band". The point of this is to see the list of band member's names and then guess the band. It may be easier than you think. Once again, this is open book and open internet. It starts easy and gets harder.

Guess the name of the band:

1. Sting, Andy, and Stewart
2. Bono, The Edge (or is it just 'The'), Adam, and Larry
3. Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha, and Anna-Frid
4. Stevie, Christine, Lindsey, John, and Mick
5. Axl, Slash, Izzy, Ole, and Rob
6. Michael, Davey, Peter, Mickey
7. John, James, George, and Richard
8. David, Stephen, Graham, and Neil
9. Robert, Jimmy, John Paul, and John
10. Mick, Keith, Brian, Bill, and Charlie
11. Freddie, Brian, John, and Roger
12. Billy, James, D'arcy, and Jimmy
13. Grace, Marty, Paul, Jack, and Jorma
14. Brian, Carl, Dennis, and Mike
15. Roger, Pete, John, and Keith
16. Michael, Peter, Mike, and Bill
17. Mick, Joe, Paul, and Topper
18. Robin, Rick, Tom, and Bun E.
19. Paul, Mick, Boz, and Simon
20. Robert, Porl, Simon, and Jason
21. Steve, Neal, Ross, Deen, and Jonathan
22. Peter, Keith, Karl, Alan, and Steve

Good Luck!!

Brilliant answer Pink Girl!! On number 7, the answer is John Lennon, James Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Richard (Ringo) Starkey.

As a hint, the lead singer is usually listed first and the drummer is usually listed last.

Quiz Feedback:

So far no wrong answers except for no. 12 isn't Greenday, great guess though.

Juanita, great guess on no. 18 for Cheap Trick. I bet you got it from the drummer, Bun E. Carlos. Not many people named Bun E.!

Bill, special kudos to you for No. 16, R.E.M. I didn't think anyone would get that one. Well done!

Some of these answers were designed for Brenda. I think you will need her input to figure out some of these.

Great job so far to everyone!

Good job Pink Girl! Two answers, but two of the hard ones.

It's just amazing how resourceful or brilliant everyone on this forum is!

Just 4 more to go. Nos. 12, 20, 21, and 22.
