HLA-positive testing?

How does one find out if they are HLA positive? What type of test is done? Blood test? If so by whom and/or where? Biopsy--from what? Tissue sample??? Thanks in advance.

HLA testing

It is a blood test. I took the HLA to get into the vaccine clinical trial but I was not about to take part due to my levels being out of range.

Kaye your primary care dr. can order the test for you. My sister, who is a family practice MD ordered it for me.

It has to be ordered in a special tube though....so make sure that the Dr. is aware of the correct one to use.

The HLA test is the same one that they give to organ transplant candidates. Ask that they specifically report on the HLA2 response.

I took the test last year, and I am HLA2+, but am still on the fence as to whether or not to proceed with this. I'm now NED and am a little afraid to rock the boat. Apparently 40% of Her2+++ women are also positive for HLA2
