FISH 2 tumors Her2-Negative
FISH 2 tumors Her2+ Equivocal
Stage I, 0/1 nodes
LVI-Indeterminate(treated as positive)
SPR Score 8/9
Ki-67 20%
BRCA genetic test 1/2=negative
Chemo: 6 rounds TAC Feb-June 2009 w/Neulasta
Herceptin: 6/12/09-6/4/10 52weeks
HNPCC genetic test: negative
Port Placement-9/23/09 Port Removal 6/25/10
Echo's every 3 months-All normal
2/09 Staging PET/CT showed 0.2 micronodule upper R lobe-lung-Onc does not think this is mets--

Yes I did see a new breast surgeon in OC. I couldn't of been more pleased with him if I wanted too. He was great! I have a large seroma in my chest that causes me alot of discomfort/pain & I want it drained. I had it drained twice over 3 1/2 yrs ago and it was a relief...but eventually filled back up in time. This BS was awesome...such a nice guy....and best yet answered all my questions. He said there is no reason not to drain it...and if it fills back up within six months we will drain it again. Whatever it takes.

10-24-09 Mass 6.4 x 4.7 cm on Rt. femur head.
11-19-09 RT. Femur surgery - Rod placed
12-7-09 Navelbine added to Herceptin/Zometa.
3-23-10 Ten days of rads to RT femur. Completed.
4-05-10 Quit Navelbine--Herceptin/Zometa alone.
5-4-10 Appt. with Dr. Slamon to see what is next? Waiting on FISH results from femur biopsy.
Results to FISH was unsuccessful--this happens less then 2% of the time.
7-7-10 Recurrence to RT axilla again. Back to UCLA for options.

Dear Chelee -
I recall the problem you had before with that seroma. Glad you found someone to help with this again.
Where is "OC"?
Also, how are you doing with the treatment against your swollen nodes? Are you on Tykerb?
Hope your leg is not bothering you now, and that you healed well from the surgery.

MY STORY SO FAR ~~~~
Found suspicious lump 9/2000
Lumpectomy, then node dissection and port placement
Stage IIB, 8 pos nodes of 18, Grade 3, ER & PR -
Adriamycin 12 weekly, taxotere 4 rounds
36 rads - very little burning
3 mos after rads liver full of tumors, Stage IV Jan 2002, one spot on sternum
Weekly Taxol, Navelbine, Herceptin for 27 rounds to NED!
2003 & 2004 no active disease - 3 weekly Herceptin + Zometa
Jan 2005 two mets to brain - Gamma Knife on Jan 18
All clear until treated cerebellum spot showing activity on Jan 2006 brain MRI & brain PET
Brain surgery on Feb 9, 2006 - no cancer, 100% radiation necrosis - tumor was still dying
Continue as NED while on Herceptin & quarterly Zometa
Fall-2006 - off Zometa - watching one small brain spot (scar?)
2007 - spot/scar in brain stable - finished anticoagulation therapy for clot along my port-a-catheter - 3 angioplasties to unblock vena cava
2008 - Brain and body still NED! Port removed and scans in Dec.
Dec 2008 - stop Herceptin - Vaccine Trial at U of W begun in Oct. of 2011
STILL NED everywhere in Feb 2014 - on wing & prayer
7/14 - Started twice yearly Zometa for my bones
Jan. 2015 checkup still shows NED
2015 Neuropathy in feet - otherwise all OK - still NED.
Same news for 2016 and all of 2017.
Nov of 2017 - had small skin cancer removed from my face. Will have Zometa end of Jan. 2018.

Thanks you guys. Now if I could only find an onc I got along with as well as this breast surgeon things would be great.
Steph, I'm only on Herceptin/Femara and I'm quit worried I should be doing more? Although the node that recurred in my rt axilla can't be felt anymore...seems to be gone? My last bx of femur showed I am now highly Er pos...so maybe the femara is working? We will be scanning soon. With my compromised lung function I always have to be careful. That's what makes me really angry about this TDM-1 issue. Some of us like myself...will not be able to handle all those toxic chemo's. I end up on oxygen each time...so we should be able to have the option of TDM-1..especially when stage IV. My heart sunk when I heard the news on TDM-1...even Dr. Slamon wanted me on that. I'm having lots of pain and I pray it's just the Femara and not cancer spreading all over.
