Talking I'm here and missing you.

Hey ladies and gentlemen! Just finally checking in after a long time of being way too busy in school, but doing well and loving it. It's been almost 3 years since my initial diagnosis and I am still cancer free and will graduate this June at age 34 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a minor in Nonprofit Administration. I'm teaching dance and looking for work with a nonprofit in Eugene, OR. My family is well and it feels so good to be dancing again. The extra weight is still the only lingering after effect of treatment that bothers me. I'm still really happy with my non--reconstructed bilateral choice.
I'll be checking in more often in the near future. Thanks for being here.
Love you all, Celeste

Re: I'm here and missing you.

It's so good to hear from you again! And to know that you are achieving your goals and getting on with life. So proud of you!
I am glad you are comfortable with your choices. Me too. I just found a site (Breastfree.org) that is really supportive and informative.
The weight gain, I bet it takes care of itself considering your active lifestyle. And if it doesn't, well, you will either put your considerable determinaton into play or just be accepting of it, the way you are of all the other changes in your life. Keep the faith! And stay in touch.
