Hi from madubois63 2/5/07
Thank you for the phone call (Sandi) and e-mails (everyone else) and mostly for being concerned about me. The last month or so has been difficult. I caught a cold that really knocked the stuffing out of me, and my counts are not bouncing back. I have to get blood transfusions several times a week, and my onc decided I needed an emergency bone marrow biopsy this past Friday. They were worried that I may have had a leukemia relapse. The doc looked at the sample immediately and said he did not see any leukemia blasts (thank God). One medication I've been on MAY be keeping my counts low, so they changed my med's and are giving me Neupogen' shots. The big 100 day celebration is coming up next week. I am celebrating by having another bone marrow biopsy and a slew of other tests. I've had a little trouble eating and at least I got one good thing out of this whole mess - I am down 30 lbs. I'm quite happy about that. Otherwise, I am emotionally and physically shot, but today is better than yesterday and tomorrow will be better than today...I'll try not to let so much time go by without posting. I look forward to having enough energy to catch up on everyone and post like I used too. As of now, please know you are all in my prayers! PS - January marked my 7th year as a survivor!!!

So happy to hear from you!
Maryann, I will sleep better tonight knowing you are still fighting to stay with us. We were getting very concern. I decided to check this site one more time before calling it a day and am so glad I did. When no one answered the phone when I called this morning it was like someone kicked me in the stomach thinking you were in the hospital and just too ill to post. Thanks so much for finding the energy to send us a post. We are all praying for you and miss your posts. Sending you lots of love and a big hug, Sandy I had forgotten you were a year a head of me in diagnose.

Good To Hear From You
MARY ANN
Its so good to hear from you again. Sorry to hear about your set backs but glad to hear each day is getting better, and it will.
I had a stem cell transplant in 1999 and know some of what you speak but everything gets better as some time passes. I am sure that cold you got did not help matters. Am sorry you have to have so many bone marrow biospy's. Those are not fun.
Take care of yourself and congrats on your SEVEN YEARS and wishing you many more to come.

Take care. Don't try to do too much -- not easy when you are raising kids, I know. It sounds like you are having a rocky recovery. This time next year I trust you will be strong again.

Dear Maryanne, thank you for the update! I know this is probably the worst part of this whole process, slowly getting your strength back when inside you're just aching to be well. You WILL BE WELL
