Re: The Campfire

BRRRRRR....just got back from a very COLD trip to see Mickey Mouse. Still had a blast - but wish I'd had a camp fire a few nights!

Re: The Campfire

SURPRISE! It's me! I've been away for a while, but I've been here in spirit. I think of you all often as I soar across the dance studio floor. Life is so beautiful...really hard, but really, really beautiful. This fire feels like home.
hugs.

Wink Re: The Campfire

Just dropping by the campfire to see what's up. I can see that it is nothing much. Well, I left a thermos of green tea and a few thin mint Girl Scout cookies for yu guys.
By the way, Bill. You have been very quiet lately, so if you are around give us a wave or two to let us know you are okay.

Re: The Campfire

Ya, Bill, let's have a reunion by the campfire.

I happened to have baked a 'bundt cake':

Spice cake mix
2 eggs
apple pie filling
1 cup chopped apple
1 cup chopped pecan
(or 'walnut' like I did)
1/4 cup water
1 cup rasin (optional)

Everybody ought to stop by and sample some...

[So I can show y'al how hubby imitates Ralph Finnes in the movie by pointing his finger while saying "I pardon you..." ]

Re: The Campfire

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately. I was out of town for about a month for work-related stuff, and when I was around, all I had time for was a quick lurk. Boy, a nice sit around the campfire sure does feel good. I've missed y'all.

Re: The Campfire

Welcome back, Bill.

Just saw on the Mini Page of our local paper pictures of flowers and their meaning. At first I thought they were wild flowers, but turned out every one of them has a special meaning:

. one red rose = passion and love
. baby's breath = pure heart
. purple cornflower= skill
. orchid = luxury, nobility
. lily of the valley = purity
. red tulip = a declaration of love
. yellow rose = friendship
. carnation = admiration, fascination
. daisy = token of affection or patience
. chrysanthemum = optimism, long life
. pansy = think of me
. lemon verbena = enchantment
. rosemary = remembrance
. thyme = activity and courage
. lavender = devotional
. rose geranium leaves = gentility
. oregano = joy
. parsley = the woman of the house is the boss
. violets = faithfulness
. daffodils = egotism

I actually have a tattoo of violets for just that reason - faithfulness. It's an important quality to me in personal relationships.

Re: The Campfire

Had the TV on while loggin in. Thought I would take a break from watching all the news about the tornados, so I switched to 'Jerry Springer'...

Watching the clashes of 'human' tornados on screen with the gray-haired host 'acting' serious was rather entertaining - even though it's obviously a waste of my time/life...

The interest in 'psychopath' probably was brought on by the Casey Anthony case:
